CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!

Good day friends and allies. As you know we are preparing for a very powerful journey across the country called the walk4justice for the missing and murdered women on June 21, 2008 to September 15, 2008.
At this time we are overwhelmed with response from community's across the country. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for offering all your support. We would like to ask all of you to help us divise a map for this journey! We would like to know who is joining us from town to town so we can get an idea of how many people we need to accommodate, feed and what to do upon arriving in Ottawa. We need contact information and support letters from everyone to ensure that all arrangments are secured. We need to gather information about the missing and murdered women and their family's so we can represent them once we are in Ottawa, be their voices for their children. We need to hear from the organizations who can work on each of these concerns from every province. We need to know who our spiritual leaders will be and we would like to follow our traditional protocol across the nation.
From the community's we would like involvement in putting the banners and pictures of their loved ones together so we can honor them through prayer and let the family's know that we will be their voices. Community's could hold fundraising events to help pay for supplies such as food, gas, medical, shoes, socks, weather gear, honorariums, tobacco, sage, sweetgrass and traditional medicines and whatever supplies needed to make this journey a success.
All cash donations can be sent to the Aboriginal Mother's Center Society in Vancouver, British Columbia, at 208-2019 Dundas Street, Vancouver, BC   V5L 1J5   or phone 604-253-6262. The cheques can be made out to Aboriginal Mother's Center Society and include re: walk4justice, an account has been set up for this walk by Penny Irons, Executive Director of AMCS. Thank you for your   generous support.
We need to let our leaders know that these women and children will not be forgotten and that we intend to stop this violence against our women! We can do it in solidarity! Lets build that bridge so that our future generations will not suffer as we did through injustices. Lets be the positive role models for them.

We thank you all for your invaluable support and hope to hear from you soon.
Please, come join us if you can!

Respect
Gladys Radek

Loved until the end of time...
Woman Warrior in Ribbons and Bows

I am a woman warrior in ribbons and bows
from the top of my head to the tip of my toes.
Make no mistake, I am loving and kind
but deeply inside is where my truth shines.
I will stand by the men on a battle line staked
and fight to the death for my People's sake.
I give birth to my children and care for the others
offer love and support to Grandfathers and Mothers.
I can be pretty and sweet in my ribbons and bows
but never mistake, I'm a warrior who knows
that the path I am called to brings trials and tears
conflicts that call for pure strength and no fears.
Respect me and honor me is all that I ask,
carrying love for all People is a burdensome task.
Few honors and glories are earned on this path,
standing your ground brings out the best or the wrath
of those on the sidelines who jeer or they mock
instead of supporting the strong ones who walk.
I am a woman warrior in ribbons and bows
loving her People while attacking their foes.
Make no mistake as you look in my eyes
I speak only truth and I tell you no lies.
I am a woman warrior in ribbons and bows
from the top of my head to the tip of my toes.

"JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL"
Hey peeps. We need some serious help here! We need recruits for the walk for justice! Walkers, drummers, singers, dancers, family members, youth, elders, women and men. We need community involvement nationally. People to help with schedules and coordinate events across the nation. We would like to start meeting regularily so that we can all work together on making this walk a success. Lets do it together for our beautiful women and their children. Please, lets fight for their justice!
Thank you. If you could email me and let me know of your availability, I have several places we canhold meetings. Just need the people. Thank you all for your invaluable support.
Respectfully
Gladys Radek

If I knew that you were leaving
I would of corrected my wrongs
I would of stopped complaining
I would of hugged you more
I would of started explaining
That you were the only one I adored
I'm on the wrong stage
I'm in the wrong scene
It's no the right story
this is the wrong dream.
this is surely not the right brain
and I'm surely unaware
I surely am the guilty
because I surely am confined
I try to hide it, but its too late
it'll always show to those who dont know
But in all of this wrong doing
all of the wrong turns
has led me to a place
And all of my misfortunes
and all of this cruel pain
have lost me in a moment,...
and surely I'm insane.
But in many perfect wrongs
I know that I've been right
It's given me the songs
my soul was to ignite.
So I cherish all of these wrongs
and agree that one thing is right
as I finish with my story
I know that I did fight.
And in the end it won't matter the wrongs that were endured
because all of my wrongs
turned into the candle that I burned

Who?

Who is that forborn little child
Reaching out in despair?
Love me, hold me, hug me
Almost like you care
T isn't so bad
When there is feeling in the air

Her heart is sad and lonely
Craving for that love
The great spirit had created
from somewhere up above

Who is that child
Crying in the night?
Violated of her womanhood
she is only taught to fight
The burden she is carrying
Invisible to the light.

Who is this child?
Crying in pain.
Willing someone to love her
To make her who again.

Who is this child crying in the night
Who?
